Atsuhiro Hirokawa

I studied in Tajimi and Shigaraki, and now I work in Mashiko. Making pottery is a mundane process and involves a lot of work, but I would be happy if the pottery I make becomes something that feels a little special in the daily life of the person who uses it.

Born in Shiga Prefecture in 1984
2008: Completed the technical course at Tajimi City Ceramic Design Institute
2012: Completed the base and glaze course at Shigaraki Ceramic Technology Testing Center
2016: Moved the workshop from Shigaraki to Mashiko
